Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team in the role of Nursery cook. This position involves preparing and cooking food, ensuring high standards of food safety, and delivering excellent service to children under five. The successful candidate will have an understanding of Early years nutrition.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards Assist with meal preparation, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations. Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately Have an understanding of Early Years nutrition.
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a kitchen environment is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently. Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards and colleagues Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
This role is ideal for individuals who needs to work around school hours.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 17.5 per week
Work Location: In person
