Job Description

We are looking to employ a day cook in our Care Home located in Cwmbran.

The position is for 2 days a week working from 7am to 3pm with a 20 minute break. These shifts will be week days but you will be expected to be flexible and support on weekends where needed.

You will be expected to prepare and cook all meals for the residents living in the home. You will be expected to complete all documentation as required by Food standards agency. You will be expected to contribute to menu planning. You will also be expected to ensure the kitchen area is clean at all times and that ordering of stock is completed ensuring budgets and client choice is taken into consideration. Stock rotation is important in this environment.

Qualifications required are food hygiene level 2 and HACCP level 2. Training can be arranged for the successful candidate.

The home prepares nutritional meals and this post is suitable for someone who may not hold any qualification however they are able to prepare, cook and serve nutritional meals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.92 per hour

Expected hours: 15.32 per week
