Job Summary

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests. Participate in inventory management by tracking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Provide support in the training of new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods and techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for hygiene in food preparation. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential.
