We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques, with experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
