Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking various dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Assist with meal preparation, including portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment
Support team members during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to create a safe working environment for staff and customers
Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements as part of the culinary team
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a professional kitchen setting is advantageous
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment will be beneficial
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary processes is preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during service hours
