Berkeley Scott Recruitment is currently seeking a nursery cook for an ongoing weekly booking with our client near Edinburgh city centre. Pay rate for this role is xc2xa316.50 per hour with weekly payments made directly into your bank account. The working hours are Monday xe2x80x93 Friday, 8am xe2x80x93 2pm and the site is easily accessible by public transport.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for up to 150 childrenPlan weekly menus in line with dietary guidelines and allergy requirementsMaintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene (in line with Food Hygiene Rating and Environmental Health requirements)Manage kitchen stock levels, ordering ingredients as needed within budgetWork closely with nursery staff to understand childrenxe2x80x99s dietary needs, allergies, and preferencesKeep accurate records of food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and allergen informationRequirements:Previous experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a childcare, school, or healthcare settingKnowledge of child nutrition and portion controlFood Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (Level 3 desirable)Awareness of allergen legislationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA passion for healthy cooking and working with childrenWhat we ask of our Chefs?
