We are seeking a passionate and skilled

Cook

with experience in preparing modified diets according to IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) guidelines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents enjoy meals that not only meet their dietary needs but also provide nutrition and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents, following IDDSI guidelines for modified diets. Develop weekly menus that celebrate diversity and accommodate dietary restrictions, preferences, and any special requirements. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards. Collaborate with the care team to monitor residents' dietary needs and adjust menus accordingly. Manage inventory, including food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring optimal food safety standards are met. Engage with residents during mealtime to create an enjoyable dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a residential care home or similar setting. Knowledge and experience with IDDSI guidelines and modified diets. Strong culinary skills and a passion for preparing high-quality meals. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Certification in food safety and hygiene is preferred.
