Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our customers in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Your expertise in grilling techniques and meal preparation will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of items according to menu specifications and customer preferences. Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in meal preparation for other kitchen stations as needed, ensuring timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working in the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent culinary skills with a focus on grilling techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
