Burnt House Vineyard is a family business situated in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, producing award winning still and sparkling wines. We operate a Cellar Door & Tasting Room which offers tours, drop in wine tastings and wine accompanied with a small plates menu.

We offer different food experiences and events throughout the year including pizza
nights, picnics in the vines as well as our tours of the vineyard in the summer
months.
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced cook to join our friendly and passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional to truly make their mark.

We are looking to expand our tasting room opening time to Wednesday to Sunday, with private events also taking place. This job role is a full-time position and may include extended hours in the summer months for events.

We are seeking a passionate, self motivated and skilled cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation using seasonal and local produce with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests. As a cook, you will play a crucial part in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Duties



Create menu's that use fresh and local produce in line with the seasons.

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance to the menu and standards.

Oversee food preparation processes to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.

Manage kitchen operations, including overseeing food production, inventory control, and staff scheduling.

Create event menu's for our private event bookings.

Collaborate with kitchen staff and train to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.

Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering to maintain inventory.

Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.

Experience



Proven experience as a cook in a similar hospitality environment is essential.

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Employment status: The role is permeant, full time expected hours 37.5 hours a week. Working days can range to meet the demand of the business.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.50 per hour
