We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary arts, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our elderly residents. 13.35 per hour plus an additional 2.00 per hour at the weekend.
Shifts are typically 7:30am - 5:15pm and some half days too. Cooks work on a 4 week rolling rota. Overtime for holiday/sickness cover available too.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to the menu
- Assist in developing new dishes and menus
- Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of culinary principles
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Experience working in a care home kitchen or similar setting helpful but not essential
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.35 per hour
