About the role....





Catering Services are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Cook in Charge at

Brynnau

Primary School.



Working hours will be approximately 5 hours a day, usually between 9.00am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.




Key Responsibilities




Preparation, cooking and serving of all meals, snacks and beverages including any medically prescribed dietary requirements, appropriate care plan and/or medical or dietitians' recommendation. To operate the kitchen in accordance with legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures in relation to Food Safety and Health and Safety. To order adequate food and sundries and ensure that the catering operation meets the site/establishments financial objectives to include effective portion control. Undertake digital administration and associated paperwork. Supervision of all staff working within the food preparation area. To communicate with staff and customers in a pleasant and professional manner at all times.

The successful candidate will: -





Have experience of cooking for large volumes of customer. Demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive 'action focused' attitude. Will be enthusiastic with a logical and organised approach to planning, and the ability to function effectively under pressure. Foster a positive safety culture, and customer focused environment.
