Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations. Participate in menu planning and development as needed, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food standards for catering. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A genuine passion for cooking and helping others enjoy great food.
