We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part time Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care environment and possess a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Assist in the planning and execution of daily meal preparation tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices. Contribute creative ideas for menu development and special events.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a care environment is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for delivering high quality food. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as required.
