Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a background in cooking and meal preparation, with an understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, while also ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Bennett's is only open during day time hours, we close at 5pm everyday so you can enjoy a much better work life balance - no late nights!

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Assist in the daily meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times. Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Clean and organise kitchen equipment and workstations after use. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction. Participate in menu planning and development as required.

Experience

Previous experience as a Cook is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dishes that delight customers.
There will opportunities to increase hours to cover holidays etc, and additional work available during school holidays and busier periods.

Weekly pay.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.95 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
