Foodology is an independent coffee bar and cafe situated on Llantrisant Business Park and we're looking for either 1 full time, or two part time Cooks to join the team to work under the supervision of the General Manager. We want passionate individuals who take great pride in their work and love to cook great food!

Our current Brunch menu runs from Monday to Friday and the successful applicants will need to work closely with our current Cooks and split the week to enable the whole team to work reasonable hours.

We like to make everything from scratch in our kitchen, using seasonal and local produce wherever possible and like to keep a regular menu with occasional specials.

This is a great opportunity for either an experienced Cook or an Up-and-Comer. We're looking for someone to start soon but would be looking to hold interviews in the next two weeks. Depending on experience, salary can be discussed on application.

What we are looking for someone who is;

Comfortable under pressure Communicates well Able to follow instructions Enthusiastic, passionate, well-organised and punctual Knowledgable of food preparation & presentation methods Preferably experienced working in a similar environment
You will be expected to;
Keep kitchen clean and keeping on top of cleaning schedules Keep up to date with all relevant standards Help us maintain our food hygiene rating! Take charge if and when necessary Help the team ensure service runs smoothly Prepare ahead to minimise disruption Be capable of working alone AND as part of the team
Potential candidates must have the relevant Food Hygiene Certification, although training can be provided, and prior experience of working in a busy kitchen will be an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time or Part Time

Salary: From 12.50 - 14.00ph depending on experience
