The Knights Care Home is situated in an attractive residential area of the historic coastal area of Lytham St Annes. We are a well-established home providing high quality, short and long-term care for up to 30 elderly ladies and gentlemen.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at The Knights Care Home in Lytham St Annes. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Ensure all food safety standards are met in food preparation and storage. Collaborate with the care team to create meal plans that cater to residents' needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed. Provide excellent service during meal times, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. Adapt recipes to accommodate special dietary restrictions or preferences. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in food safety and nutrition.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a healthcare or residential setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt menus based on resident feedback and dietary needs.
