Lucas Love Healthcare are working alongside their client to recruit a confident, passionate and experienced Cook Manager to join their Care Home within Ballynahinch.

Main Duties:

Leading the team Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations Supervision of staff rotas Plan seasonal menus Responsible for maintaining food safety compliance through accurate record keeping Managing supplier relationships Collaborate with nursing staff to support residents' well being through thoughtful nutrition and help foster a warm, welcoming food experience Baking Ensuring residents receive nutritious, high quality meals tailored to their dietary needs Responsible for preparing meals and snacks in line with residents dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation and storage areas Managing stock Ordering supplies Controlling waste Plan varied and balanced menus that accommodate dietary requirements and likes Providing clear instructions and supervision to any kitchen assistants Complete necessary paperwork, including food safety records and compliance documentation Ensure adherence to statutory regulations such as COSHH and HACCP

Essential Criteria:

Experience in cooking within a care setting Basic Food Hygiene certificate Strong understanding of dietary requirements eg IDDSI, allergen, diabetes etc. Knowledge of food safety practices and compliance requirements Organisational skills and a proactive, solutions focused approach Availability to work a varied rota Monday - Sunday Eligibility to live and work within the UK Medical fitness to carry out physical requirements of the role

Desirable Criteria:

NVQ qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
