A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised person to manage our recently refurbished kitchen. As Cook/Manager you will be given the opportunity to put your own stamp on the role and expand the catering output, depending on demand.

The idea candidate will have the knowledge of menu planning, ordering, food preparation and a thorough understanding of food safety practices.

Responsibilities



Be responsible for the ordering and purchasing of catering supplies, financial accounting of stock and working to an agreed budget.

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including Sunday lunches, create a bespoke Tuesday lunch menu (every other week) and then develope a Friday evening menu. There will also be the opportunity to create menus for special events, eg afternoon tea, birthdays, wakes and other events (Easter, Mothers Day, Burns Night etc)

Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

The role is to be for approx. 16 -20 hours per week initially, with the possibility of more hours in the future.

This role could possibly be a shared role in the future.

Salary 14.00 per hour.
