We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet our standards while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are followed.
This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job will include one weekend day, full days and evenings. Our operational hours are 10:30am to 10pm. You must be over 18 to apply due to UK law.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus, including hot and cold food.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
Cooking items to order whilst managing hot hold food items.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Be able to operate as part of a team and manage front of house kitchen staff when required.
Work under pressure in time-sensitive periods.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, including Food Hygiene standard Level 2.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
