Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals in our nursing home. The ideal candidate will have some experience working within a kitchen environment and care / nursing home.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes.
- Assist in all areas of food preparation as needed
- Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment effectively and safely
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide excellent service
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Understanding of food safety regulations
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively
- Experience in meal preparation is desirable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.35-13.00 per hour
Experience:
Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
