Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in the presentation and garnishing of dishes to ensure visual appeal
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for efficient operation
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Support team members during busy periods, including serving customers when required
Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new ideas based on current trends and customer preferences
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or similar setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in meal preparation, restaurant service, or serving is desirable but not essential
