Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Cook at Regency House Residential Home. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our mission of providing exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Complete all records accurately in accordance to food safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food output. Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in menu planning and development, bringing creativity to the culinary offerings.

Experience

Previous kitchen experience is essential. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is required. Experience in cooking various cuisines is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
