We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team in the role of Cook. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation and kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall smooth running of the kitchen. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred and training will be provided.
Duties
Assist with food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately
Ensure all food handling practices adhere to health and safety standards
Serve food efficiently to customers when required
Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and ordering supplies as needed
Contribute to a positive team environment by working collaboratively with colleagues
Qualifications
Experience or knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable
Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures
Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a friendly manner when serving customers
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen setting
