We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our kitchen team as a Culinary Associate. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in culinary practices and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet our high standards. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing knowledge of best practices in cooking and food preparation. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on culinary or restaurant experience. Strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques, with an understanding of various cuisines. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a hygienic kitchen. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
