About the Role
Step into a key leadership position in our bustling tearooms as a Cook Supervisor. We're looking for a talented culinary professional who's ready to take charge, inspire a small team, and deliver exceptional food experiences. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values creativity, and enjoys making a real impact every day.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards
Prepare a range of menu items: scones, pies, quiches, soups, salads, cakes, and puddings
Create and introduce your own chef's specials to delight our guests
Maintain strict food hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
Train, support, and motivate team members to achieve their best
Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner when needed
Start shifts at 6:30am on a rota basis, including weekends and holiday cover
Requirements
Proven experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a supervisory or lead role
Confident in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen safety
Strong understanding of food hygiene standards and best practices
Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
Friendly, positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Ability to work early mornings and weekends on a rota
Must have access to your own car for reliable transport
