Job Purpose
The Cook / Team Leader has a passion for cooking delicious dishes and ensures every dish that leaves the Olympus kitchen is of a high standard and upholds the company's reputation. The purpose of this role is to maintain a hygienic, efficient, and well-structured kitchen environment, to prepare orders in a timely manner with attention-to-detail in every plate, and to lead the team to success.

person to join our hardworking team at the Olympus Restaurant. You will be working alongside our Kitchen Manager and team of Kitchen Assistants so must have the ability to
work as a team
and
take pride in your work
as well as proven leadership skills.
This is a
fast-paced
role and will require you to work efficiently and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Core duties:
Set up workstations, equipment, and ingredients at the start of shifts.
Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen at all times.
Preparation of menu items (e.g., burgers, desserts, salads, pies).
Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and cleaning procedures.
Maintain proper storage organisation.
Complete a food hygiene & safety course if not already qualified.
Assist takeaway staff with plating during busy periods.
Stock rotation and date-labelling to ensure ingredient freshness.
Foster good communication with Kitchen Team Members to ensure continuation of service.
Skills & Experience Required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good attention to detail and strong hygiene standards.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a positive attitude.
Physically able to stand for long periods and carry out manual tasks.
Previous kitchen experience required.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and take pride in your work.
Communication and leadership skills.

Pay: From 12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
