Job Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your expertise in food preparation and safety will ensure that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards, while your experience in the kitchen will contribute to a harmonious and efficient working atmosphere.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Ensuring any residents needs are met and prepared in accordance to required modifications.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Strong understanding in modified diets. Previous care home experience is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when necessary. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.04-13.29 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
