Overview

Luddite Brewing Company are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join the team at our brew-pub, The Calder Vale Hotel in Horbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking according to specified menus across the weekend (Friday-Sunday) and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. A successful ' Friday Night is Pie Night' is in place and menus appropriate for Saturday and Sunday are being developed. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional setting, contributing to the creation of delicious meals for our valued customers. Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.

Duties

Food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients Cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Support meal assembly and presentation to ensure visual appeal Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of food handling Serve meals to customers or assist serving staff Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable, preferably to Level 3 Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is beneficial Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary procedures will be considered an asset Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of service and safety
