We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our patrons. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on food safety and hygiene standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, reporting any shortages or issues
Provide excellent service by ensuring meals are presented attractively before serving
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on culinary skills
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential
Experience in meal preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting is advantageous
A background in serving or customer service can be beneficial for this role
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are required
