White Gables Care Home is a small 20 bedded residential care home in Kirton. As part of our commitment to our residents and staff we are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team in a dual role as Activities Coordinator & Cook.
This is a varied and rewarding position where you will spend part of your time planning and leading engaging activities for our residents, and part of your time preparing and serving simple, nutritious meals.
We are looking for a cook every other weekend, working 7am till 2pm providing nutritious and well-balanced meals alongside catering to our residents dietary needs and preferences.
Alongside this role, we are looking for an individual to provide activities and wellbeing to the residents up to three days a week (18 hours, within school hours).
Your responsibilities will include:
Organising and delivering a range of fun, stimulating activities to support residents' wellbeing.
Encouraging participation and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
Preparing and cooking balanced meals, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
Ensuring a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for all residents.
Meeting the nutritional needs of the residents at all times.
Ensuring that all paperwork is kept up to date in line with the company's procedures
Ensuring that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
Working on your own initiative and as a team
Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen and activity areas.
Pay: 12.21 per hour
