Overview

We are seeking a Cook to join our Residential care home team. No experience required as training will be given. Suitable candidate must have a strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious home cooked meals for our Residents while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and baking as needed. Communicate with care staff to ensure timely service and quality of all dishes served. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels. Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes or specials.

Requirements

Previous experience is not essential as training will be given including induction and shadow shifts. A knowledge of food preparation skills required. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A team player who can collaborate effectively with others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work as required.
