Wymondham College Prep School opened in September 2020 with two Reception classes housed in Wymondham College. In September 2021 the school moved into its new purpose-built home on the site of Wymondham College. The school is currently two form entry for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and one form entry in Year 5 & Year 6 with 235 pupils on roll. When the school is full, we are be a school of 452 pupils which includes 32 boarders across Year 5 & Year 6.
We believe that every child deserves to be provided with outstanding quality, not only in education but also in the services provided. To facilitate this, we are seeking to appoint a Cook who will support in the provision of catering services throughout the school day.
THE POST
We are looking for a positive and hard-working Cook to join the team at Wymondham College Prep School on a permanent basis and support the growing catering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: The production and service of meals and refreshments throughout the school day;
Catering for all school functions and courses held both during the school term and non-term time;
Assists in the preparation of Prep School and College meals;
Manages use and care of and equipment;
Ensures staff and kitchen hygiene requirements are met;
Ensures Health and Safety at work requirements are met;
Assist in the training of new staff;
Any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager.
