Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic new cook for our family run kitchen! The ideal candidate will love singing/listening to others sing to the Alexa, be hard-working, self-motivated and keen to help our family-run pub successful. You don't need experience in a professional kitchen to join our team, we just want a positive can-do attitude and someone who will become a part of the family! A lot of us here have children and family commitments, so we do understand that sometimes things pop up unexpectedly... we all work together to figure it out and help each other.

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes we have worked years on getting right! We are open to further suggestions on how to improve our menu if you have any ideas. Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service. We will provide all relevant training and resources to gain your food safety certificates. Support kitchen operations by organising ingredients and equipment. A lot of our ingredients are gluten-free so we will really focus on training you about allergens. Being kind to one and other and making sure every shift is a successful and efficient one. Contribute to the organisation of the kitchen, including stock rotation and inventory checks and just generally taking pride in the place you work.

Qualifications

Nothing - We have built our knowledge from scratch! None of us are trained Chefs, just people that have worked really hard to achieve what we have and love what we do and the people we work with. We will be patient and work with anyone with the right attitude.

Shifts will be Tuesday 9.30am-2.30pm, Thursday 4.30pm-9pm, Friday 9am-2.30pm, Saturday alternate 9am-3pm/3pm-9pm.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
