We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/ Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while assisting with various tasks related to food preparation, service, and cooking. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for cooking and buffet work.

Responsibilities

cooking and food preparation and ensure all food safety standards are met. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and taking orders. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including dining areas and kitchen. Support catering events as needed, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a catering or cafe environment.Min 2 years. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards.Level 2 food hygiene certificate required or willing to obtain it before start date. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team. Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy setting. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
