Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook/cafe worker to join our dynamic cafe team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation, cooking and preparing fresh menu items from scratch and baking fresh cakes. With a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish is prepared to perfection and served with care. Front of house work is also involved, taking orders, preparing drinks and serving.

Duties

Prepare and cook/bake a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Assist in the planning and execution of daily meal preparation, ensuring timely service. Serving customers, using till, and preparing hot drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen/cafe staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management, reporting any shortages or issues

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, and customers. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Some flexibility to work various shifts, set days could be arranged for the right candidate. Cafe opens 6 days a week (closed Sunday) opening hours 9.30am-3pm, working hours 9am-3.30pm/4pm.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
