Catering Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for various events. Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and menus Support the kitchen team in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored correctly Serve food at events, ensuring presentation meets company standards Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during events Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, ideally within catering or restaurant settings Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills
