You will be responsible for planning, preparation and cooking, 3 nutritious meals per day for 26 elderly residents. Breakfast, two course hot lunch, cakes for tea and evening meal for 26 residents according to the menu. Role requires keeping the kitchen and equipment clean, supervise and coordinate tasks with kitchen assistant. You have to be well organised, able to use your own initiative and have a good knowledge of food hygiene. Promoting the resident's food choice by ensuring their choice are followed. Be aware of food allergens that may affect the residents you serve. Building good relationships with the service users and their relatives. Acting in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home and ensuring all kitchen records are kept up to date.
