Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and standards Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering as needed Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and optimise kitchen operations Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative suggestions for new dishes Serve food to customers when required, maintaining professionalism and efficiency

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering setting Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Previous experience in meal preparation, culinary arts, or kitchen operations is highly desirable Knowledge of restaurant service procedures is advantageous Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends or evenings if required A recognised culinary qualification or relevant professional training is preferred
