Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our mexician street food team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for creating delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant, also taking orders and operating the till.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and flavour. Oversee kitchen operations, including managing inventory and ordering supplies as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Take orders and manage cash ups.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences. Previous experience serving customers is advantageous but not essential. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
