Key Duties:
As a Cook at the Railway Restaurant, you will be responsible for:
- To assist in the preparation & serving of food and drinks in a busy catering environment
- To work with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of services
- Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to relevant standards
- Operating the dishwasher & recycling of waste maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- To maintain high standards of cleanliness of all areas within the restaurant & kitchen
- Prioritise workload to ensure timely delivery of service and efficient operation within the kitchen
While these are your core responsibilities, we value flexibility and teamwork, so you may be called upon to tackle other tasks as needed to support our team and company.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, demonstrating your culinary skills.
- Availability to work on most bank holidays and alternate weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
- Excellent customer service skills and a welcoming demeanour when dealing with the public.
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers.
- High standards of personal and working hygiene, in compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations.
