We are seeking a passionate and chef/cook to join our culinary team to work every other weekend and every other Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM at Fauld House Nursing Home.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety,. As a chef/cook you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Duties - Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the home's menu and specifications. - Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices in the kitchen. - Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared efficiently and to standard. - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. - Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary. Maintain an organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Must have food hygiene level 2.
