Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and culinary arts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will play a crucial role in meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets quality and safety standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and meal presentation. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A passion for cooking with creativity in menu development. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking initiative when required. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.79-13.50 per hour
