We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, while ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Oversee meal preparation, ensuring all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication during service periods. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy service periods. A creative approach to cooking with an eye for presentation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
