Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our catering and outlets team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our restaurant maintains its reputation for excellence through the preparation of delicious meals that meet our customers' expectations.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Assist in the overall kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Participate in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal dishes and specials. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance meal preparation skills.

Experience

Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for kitchen hygiene. Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy great food is essential.
