Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our 18 Residents while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Oversee kitchen staff during meal preparation, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders when necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Maintain equipment in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: 12.75-13.00 per hour
