We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. This role requires creativity in meal preparation and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients when possible Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices Serve meals to guests, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a pub setting Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
