Job Description

We're looking for a passionate and reliable Kitchen hand / cook to join our kitchen team at The Lounge - a newly rebranded restaurant and bar focused on delivering fresh, quality food in a vibrant setting. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, helping to prep, cook, and plate dishes to a high standard while maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and food safety at all times. We're after someone who works well under pressure, communicates effectively with the team, and takes pride in their craft. Experience in a busy kitchen is preferred, and flexibility with hours - including evenings and weekends - is essential. Qualifications

Proven kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment Strong food preparation and cooking skills Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Culinary experience with a variety of cuisines Ability to efficiently prepare and serve meals Previous restaurant experience is a plus Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in inventory management and restocking of kitchen supplies as needed. Contribute to menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
