Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in meal preparation and food safety practices. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that not only meet but exceed our guests' expectations. You will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and presentation of all food items while ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Shift patterns will be 8:30am to 3pm & 3pm to 8pm.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to in the kitchen. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Supervise kitchen staff during meal preparation, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain an organised kitchen, ensuring all cooking stations are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as required. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse menus that appeal to various tastes. Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with other staff members. A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills is essential.
