Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious meals that meet our high standards. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and stock management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and quality.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal preparation within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Pay: 12.25-13.50 per hour
