We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. Breakfasts and Salads/Grain bowls are our main dishes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. Your culinary expertise will help elevate our menu offerings and provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the established menu.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food preparation.
Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet the restaurant's standards.
Help develop new recipes and improve existing ones based on customer feedback.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
